This thread is basically to tell the story behind your ShotOnline ID.
SummersLastNight
The name came from a few years back when I started to play acoustic shows for friends and such and needed a stage name. It then progressed onto the name of the screamo (fusion of melodic emo sounds and screaming) band me and my friend created. After we grew tired of playing and eachother I used it again as my acoustic stage name. And as well for a few applications on the internet.
I haven't played any shows in about 2 years, but I still play all the time at home for my girl and dog.
Whats yer story? |

I love this idea Summers. My Story isn't that exciting either. But CS are my initials. Adding pirit to the S of my initial to create Spirit was a faith thing for me.
I can't wait to hear more stories about names. We have some interesting ones on the game! |

I play a lot of real golf, and have a membership in an organization named Clublink. With one membership you can play a number of different golf courses which is nice since you don't get bored playing just one course.

As some know with me already.
Herbie was the name givin to be by seniors in Highschool when I was a freshman cause I was short and round, like Herbie the Love Bug, and the nickname has just stuck where I'm from. D is the initial of my last name, and the 81 is for the year of my date of birth.. Enjoy!!! |

Welllllll.... Harper is the family name of my (Dad's side) Grandfathers grandfather. He was a disgruntled Irishman and in an uprising in the mid 1800's he killed an Englishman so the story goes. He fled the country to avoid the gallows and landed in Maine. Once there he changed his name to "IRVING" and eventually settled around the border town of St.Stephen, New Brunswick. It's always been a hush hush story and when my Grandfather died a few ago at the ripe old age of 94, the true story died with him. That entire side of the family has parished with the exception of myself, Dads brother and one cousin from Grandfather's Brother. Neither Earle, Blaine nor I have sons so the family line of Harper (Irving) dies with the three of us.
Murphy is my Mothers family name and around here it is quite famous for it's mayhem throughout the years. Oddly enough my great Grandfather Melvin Murphy was a combatant in a 2 day (yes the story is told that it lasted over 36 hours straight) fist fight with my great Grandfather Irvings brother Stanley a local boxer. Legend has it they only paused for drinks of whiskey. Melvins sons were the famous Murphy Brothers (my Grandfather and his 4 brothers) and they used to run "Murphy's Dance Hall". It was as rowdy a roadhouse as was ever built and very few people around here don't have a story to tell about the place. It was eventually destroyed by fire due to an "Unknown" cause.....
My Grandfather Claude had 7 girls and 2 boys. The important part being 7 girls. Claude was famous for two (2) "hunting accidents" that occurred in the forties and fifties. I don't know the two men that Grampy Murphy shot and killed but lo and behold the infamous Charlotte County Sherriff Charlie Smith - just - happened to be in the hunting party when the second "accidental" shooting occurred. As far as we know none of the Murphy Girls have ever mentioned being "mistreated" but we could never figure out how someone can have 2 hunting "accidents" in one life time, and Charlie Smith was known for his back woods justice system. This story may never be solved.
So the long and short of it..... "HarperMurphy" is named after my "Grandfathers"...... take yer pick of which ones! |

"sunny" isn't a big stretch from "Sonia". I've got Ukrainian roots, and "sonia-chnik" is the word for sunflower (a favorite), as well as my late grandmother's childhood nickname for me; I'm a sun sign (Leo); was a true blonde (and pay big bucks to stay that way now); and love the sun, even tho I'm supposed to stay out of it so use 60 sunscreen (all the same, I could NEVER live on the west coast i.e. Seattle, Vancouver, or in England/Scotland.
and the "f" is just my last initial..... |

"Where Have All The Sardines Gone?" Tells about the 5 italian families that started the big fishing industry in Monterey. |
