How about playing 18 holes at Afheim but only using a putter and one other club of your choice (e.g. 8i) possibly include handicaps depending on levels.

We use to play for real doing that sort of.
We use to play tourneys with a 3w, 7i, and putter only.
If you do play this, may I recommend a 7 iron instead?

Great idea YTM, should be a funny one.
I suggest this be done over a 6 hole game as 18 holes with just a putter and one other club could drag into quite a few hrs play.
All said and done, count me in, for alf i'll use a 7 iron along with my trusty old putter i so confidently use (coff, ahem!!)

I agree with you harper about the trust issue but reckon if everybody plays with at least one other guild member it would be fairly difficult to get away with using different clubs. Besides I'd like to think the satisfaction of winning such a challenge would outweigh the urge to cheat.
My only thinking on playing over 18 holes would be that everybody would play all the same holes and there could be no whinging about some people having easier rounds than others. I'm open to opinion on this point. We'll go with majority rule I reckon so please post your thoughts here everybody.
I'm happy to make a donation of 5mill ng towards the prize fund and any other donations will be gratefully received so if we get enough interest we'll set a date for it and announce the full rules and prize list.

We do this in my ladies league but with 3 clubs. I'm game to try just 2! I agree that we'd probably be better to limit it to 9 holes, though -- it'll be "luck of the draw" which 9 folks get.......and if there's a minimum of 3 games to play over a 1-2 week period, odds are which holes are played will roughly even out. Could also post just best 3 scores, which provides incentives for folks to play multiple times.
